Earth, Wind & Fire: The Millennium Playlist

In 1993, EWF released the album Millennium with a freshness that came with being released from suffocating Columbia Records. The new sound reflected a new lease of life which had been missing for a whole decade which helped recapture their old fans and garner new ones. And when the millennium really came in the 2000s, EWF showed their adaptability with the times, and that their music was designed for all generations. This was mostly reflectly in their collaboration with younger producers and singers like Raphael Saadiq, Kelly Rowland, Floetry, Kenny G,etc.

It was an attestation to their enduring power, as seen in their tight grooves and captivating vocals. Indeed, their spark had not been lost, despite the progression of time, career evolution and record company imposition. This playlist centres the beautiful songs released in the 2000s.
